Cuti Cuti Malaysia

Today is my last day of work before I go off tomorrow on a 3 days 2 nights holiday trip with my family. It's gonna be Fun Fun Fun.. get to spend a few freaky day in hot burning sun (pantun)hehehe. So, I will only be back to work on Tuesday. It’s been quite sometime since we went on a holiday like this and since it’s the school break, we just grabbed the opportunity. Not that I have any kids ok :p but my sisters' kids are really looking forward to it. It’s going to be fun I’m sure. We’re not going anywhere great, just going to Alor Setar and SP and make a stop at padang Besar. There will be some serious eating which I am very looking forward too. Hehehe. I’ll post the pictures ok! Mum and my sis already plan for some serious shopping at Padang Besar. Things are suppose to be cheap there… I think. Well, I’m not interested to buy anything at all… No way, after the unfortunate $$ spending on my car battery and services, I don’t think I can afford any shopping. Poor me :( Still, I think I will just scout around and well, I could buy a few small tiny stuffs la for myself. Hehe... But I am looking forward to grab a few packets of kacang gajus bakar.. hmm… damn! I love it.

This will also be an opportunity for me to take my mind off all these issues and work hectic back home. I just want to relax myself and have fun. We’ll be going to the Cinta Sayang Resort at SP for a night stay and I am looking forward to try myself on archery. Excited giler la pulak.

Mei bought a new book titled ‘Love in a Torn Land’ from Jean Sasson, the author of my favourite book ‘Princess of Arabia’. There a sale at popular book store and she bought a few novels so she borrowed the book to me first and I just can’t wait to read it. I hope it will be as interesting as her first book.

Goodbye Friday… Hello Weekend =D

Hurt

I've heard this song on the radio before. But didn't actually tried to understand the words and the meaning. Well, I did yesterday and it actually made me cry. It's a very touching song. Sometimes when someone did something wrong, no matter how hurtful it can be.. just try to forgive them.

Especially your loved ones. Cos you never know if they will be around tomorrow.

Christina Aguilera ~ Hurt
Seems like it was yesterday when I saw your face
You told me how proud you were, but I walked away
If only I knew what I know today
Ooh, ooh
I would hold you in my arms
I would take the pain away
Thank you for all you've done
Forgive all your mistakes
There's nothing I wouldn't do
To hear your voice again
Sometimes I wanna call ya
But I know you won't be there

Ohh I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you

Some days I feel broken inside but I won't admit
Sometimes I just wanna hide 'cause it's you I miss
And it's so hard to say goodbye
When it comes to this, oooh yeah

Would you tell me I was wrong?
Would you help me understand?
Are you looking down upon me?
Are you proud of who I am?

There's nothing I wouldn't do
To have just one more chance
To look into your eyes
And see you looking back

Ohh I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself, ohh

If I had just one more day
I would tell you how much that I've missed you
Since you've been away
Ooh, it's dangerous
It's so out of line
To try and turn back time

I'm sorry for blaming you
For everything I just couldn't do
And I've hurt myself by hurting you

You just got to watch the music video.

Series of Events

I have some serious updating to do... It’s been almost 3 weeks since I last updated my Blog. Tak la lama sangat saudara saudari sekalian. Kira ok la =D

Mothers Day ~ 11th May 2008
My sisters and I took mum out for a mother’s day dinner at Berjaya Hotel for a seafood BBQ buffet. The food was so so only la, nothing to be excited about. But the idea of 5 of us getting together and celebrating mother’s day… It was simply superb and it was indeed a special day for me.

I kinda composed this short poem for my beloved mum. It's nothing much... Just thought of sharing it with you all.

Mum… My beautiful angel
You are the most important person in my life
Words can’t describe the sacrifices you’ve gone through to raise me
From the moment you brought me into this world till now
You held me in your arms when I came into this world
You hold me tight when I took my first step
You raised me, fed me and taught me what’s right and wrong

I know ma, raising a child is never an easy job
Especially if you have a tough one, like me ;)
But you have never given up on me
You are always there to hug me
You are always there to keep me safe
You are always there to protect me
You are always there to hold my hand
You have always been there to guide me till the end

Maa,
I love you so much... I just want you to know
Happy Mothers Day Maa..
Thank you for everything… Thank you so much!

Memories from Coffee Bean ~ 15th May 2008
I was quite tied up with work that morning. My admin was on MC that day (Sigh!) so it was quite a hectic start. Then, out of a sudden… I got an SMS from Zaini.

“I left something for you at the guard house”

Hm… aku terpikir, “Bika Embun lagi ka?” hehe… but I don’t remember him going to Medan that week. Anyway, I was just about to go and collect my “mystery gift” when my dispatch brought it up for me… Siap yanyikan lagu happy birthday to me. Sabor je la budak tue!
hm... And there it was with a small card that says “Thank you for the time spent at Coffee Bean”. So Sweet! I was surprised when I opened the box and found a Coffee Bean Mug inside. Tersenyum lebar aku. Whoa! I would say, this is one of the most memorable gift I have ever received. Thank you so much for the gift Zaini.. You have actually brighten my day that day. Our friendship means so much to me.

Car Died Day ~ 17th May 2008
Totally a bad day for me. It was suppose to be a fun day, a joyful day but instead it turned out to be an awful bad day.
I was eager to go to the wet market that morning. Since it was weekend, I thought, “what the heck! Let’s cook today and let mum rest” See, the market was just a walking distance away, about a 5-7 minutes walk from home. But being the lazy butt, I’ll usually take the car. It was hot and the sun was gazing straight at my face. Berpeluh-peluh aku macam lembu jer dengan angkat barang-barang berat yang aku beli. I was done shopping, got back to my car and just when I tried to start… Blur! nothing! No grrrrkkk sound of the engine starting... NOTHING! Then suddenly the alarm started to go off and the indicator light was blinking like mad and the window wiper was going up and down up and down. Aku ingat “Alamak habis la... kereta aku dah kena rasuk hantu nie” I had to pull the alarm wire off to stop the noise cos I was starting to attract people’s attention. I was at the freaking market for Allah’s sake.
Fuh! I pulled myself together. Locked the car and started… well... walking. And not to forget, I had to carry all the stuff I brought as well… plus, I was sweating like a pig! Pity me :(
I got home and quickly called dad. He asked me to call his regular ‘not so friendly’ mechanic. Gosh! I hate that guy so much. You have no idea how he is around me. Won't talk to me properly, always trying to be like this macho dude la konon. He thinks he’s Shah Rukh Khan kot and all the girls are crazy over him. probably he thinks I'm trying to goda him or something. Please laaa.. Well, I had no choice, so I called him anyway. When I told him what happened, he said the battery might have worn out and he’ll just change it for me. But, he will only be available at 1pm. Fine, I called him back at 1pm and he said he sent his assistant over to do his job. Can you believe it, this Shah Rukh Khan got assistant somemore.. Aiyo aiyo! So, I walked back to my car in that hot afternoon sun and guess what… I waited 2 long #*%&$ hours for his damn assistance and that guy only turned up at around 3pm. Didn't even bother to apologise. Anyway, luckily there was a small stall under a tree and I set there, waiting for him like minah market!
The whole changing battery actually took only about 10 minutes… and he was done. Sigh! there goes my $$.

Today ~ 22nd May 2008
I'm still at the office and when I turned to look at the time, it was already 8.35pm. Why am I still here? I keep repeating that question to myself. Is it just because I wanted to update my blog? no, I don't think so. There's has been a series of events that has happened to me. Some are beautiful, others are less fortunate. I'll share about it some other time. Right now, I just feel like going home.. take a shower and go to bed.

Yummy Treats

Lama benor tak post about my favourite food and interesting places to mum mum. Busy la dengan kerja.

Coffee with Zaini
My dear ‘YB’ friend is a very busy man especially now that he’s working on a project to open his own bridal boutique. Hooray!!! for Mr. Zaini for his accomplishment and his new business. Well, since he has been so busy, I had to practically paksa him to join me for an awesome cup of coffee at The Coffee Bean. We went to the one at Gurney Hotel. Great place to hang out and go wireless and that was exactly what we did. Zaini bought himself a new cool Dell notebook so we just lepak and check out some interesting websites. Hm... Jealous betul tengok orang-orang notebook nie going wireless :p
I had the usual Mocha Latte while Zaini asked me to recommend my favourite... So, I ordered for him the “Xtreme Belgian Chocolate Ice Blended”... Sounds explosive right. Hehehe.. Now, I would have enjoyed that cool refreshing drink probably cos I’m used to strong coffee. But quite unfortunate for Zaini, he did enjoy the drink at the beginning but it actually left him with some ‘side effects’ when he got home! Aiyoo... hehehe… Sorry ya Zaini. Lain kali kita jangan ge situ dah ok! Hehe… I would love to post some pictures we took at coffee bean but my face was looks like macam kena sengat lebah. So, tak mau post la… But I can post this beautiful picture of Kopi Susu Ice my sisters and I had at Merlin Nasi Kandar. Sedap ooo… Kira boleh la…

FoodLoft
For those of you who haven’t heard of this place call Foodloft before, well… you should check it out. One of the best things about this place is that they serve a HALAL food. They have Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Nyonya and my most favourite… Western Food. It’s located at 4th Floor, Gurney Plaza and it a perfect place to relax and have a decent meal with family and friends. I just love the ambiance and the whole atmosphere is very calm and relaxing. Kak Zai introduced this place to me. We went there for dinner after a hard day at work and sat by the window overlooking the sea. We were there just in time to catch the sunset and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Hehehe... Kak Zai said she wants to belanja her adik comey nie. So, this adik comey pun order la apa-apa yang dia suka. Pantang dibelanja la kak. Tapi don’t worry, i’m not this greedy with friends, only family members! Kak Zai… I love you babe!

~ Check out the sunset… love it.

~ Spaghetti Marinara is a must try… banyak bahan-bahan. Got udang, sotong and siput-siput la and the portion is quite generous too :) Price : RM17.90

~ If you ask me… I would say this is chicken chop. But they named it something long and I can’t remember what it’s called. But it was sure tasty. As for the corn, I found out that you can actually change it to fries if you don’t like the corn. It’s not that I don’t like corn, how to eat wey?? using folk and knife?? If you ask me, corn is something you grab and eat thing la. Betul tak? And not to forget, you can even ask for that extra mushroom gravy. Yummy! $$ - RM17.90

~ Yummy Banana ice blended and green apple smoothie.

~ Something we ordered not value for money. And it taste so so only. This is the Japanese prawn tempura with soy sauce. Nothing special about this dish. Taste like udang goreng tepung cucur pisang. That’s all… and it cost RM17 something.

Roti Bangali & Fish Curry
Don’t be surprised if I say that this is one of the best combinations you can ever taste and one of my favourites. You can have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner or simply if you’re hungry. Hehehe, our you can even have roti and kari ikan if your budget for the month lari abit. You just gotta love them right!

Waiting for a Perfect Man

This is how I would probably look like in a few years time. Yup! I’m waiting for my perfect prince charming to rescue me from turning into the Corpse Bride. Sigh! Well, he is certainly taking so long to find me :p
A cute friend sent this picture to me sometime ago. Hm… I wonder why she sent it to me. She had probably picked all the young (ehem) single female friends she can find in her address book. Ha ha ha (Laughing out LOUD). Well, at least I look slimmer and check out the red handbag and shoes. Gotta love them ya...hehe
